Almost sounds like a school yard song, but it’s just Raven and Tallen at Aunt T’s house, climbing a tree! Tracy has been climbing trees for years. One of my favorite photo’s of she and I was taken while we were in a tree!

A New Addition To The Fam

Little Bella joins the family on January 26th, 2010. She is supposed to be Raven’s dog, though Britene has laid claim.

Just in case you’re curious, Bella is 1/4 Boxer and 3/4 lab. A beautiful mix, she should be gentle with the kids, smart and able to jump a 6′ fence. Not sure what that last trait is good for, but there you go.

One of Raven’s favorite things to do is draw animals and then color them. I have a few hanging on my wall even as we speak.

She is really getting quite good! At only 4 years old, Raven is showing natural ability.

Grooving On Some Grass Time

At his birthday party, Tallen received a trash truck (don’t ask), which he promptly began pushing all over the grass.

Arizona doesn’t offer a lot of grass areas, so he was really grooving on the grass time.

To Tallen, poking the color INTO the easter eggs was way more fun than actually coloring them. I think we had to throw about 6 eggs aways before we convinced him to color ON them, not IN them.

The Guilt Was Getting To Me

Yeah, I know you haven’t called and harassed me recently. You really didn’t have to. See, I can do a pretty good job of beating myself up for the missed time, the missed photo’s and the missed chance to showcase the little darlings.

Since they live with me, I don’t grab the camera very often (try almost never now), unless someone mentions it. And no one mentions it.

So, the guilt got so bad, I had to stop and create them their own blog, complete with rating system (just click the stars), commenting functions and scrollable light boxes.

Overkill? Probably. But it was a lot of guilt.

I will try to do better. You know, you could call from time to time and remind me to break out the camera.

I have been called a demented grandmother.

I love my grandkids and love showing them off. I consider myself one of the luckiest women alive today and couldn’t help myself, I had to share.

This site is dedicated to Raven and Tallen, and to the extended family and friends who want to watch them grow and learn – even if it is from miles away.

This new format will allow a couple of features I have long wanted on the site, but been too busy to implement since it would require a substantial time investment.

I think it’s important to allow everyone watching little Raven and Tallen grow up be able to comment on the photo’s I put online. Half the fun of bragging about your grandkids is hearing that others agree with you. (I did mention I have been called demented grandmother, right?)

The blog will let you add your comment to your favorite photo (or any/all others) and let the rest of the family read it. You can also rate the photo’s on a 5 star scale. The more popular photo’s (those with more ratings), will have their own section as well. This means if you’ve only got a minute to show off your niece and nephew/grand-daughter and grand-son/great-granddaughter and great-grandson, then you can just direct traffic to the *most popular* page. All your favorites should be there.
